Thor’s hammer spotted in Auchenflower
The third auction of the day for Adcock Prestige Queensland has been in Auchenflower with Jason Adcock once again swapping his auctioneer’s gavel for Thor’s mighty hammer. But with one bidder in play and prepared to go no higher than $2.5m under auction terms, the property was passed in with a vendor bid of $2.9m.
15 bidders in $4m- plus Auction
Thunderstorms have just skirted the river city, possibly in response to Thor’s hammer finally coming down on an auction sale.
For those just joining the blog, Adcock Prestige Queensland principal is carting around a replica of Thor’s hammer to auctions this weekend. He didn’t get a chance to smash it down in Bardon with negotiations continuing, but 118 Reeve St, Clayfield has just sold under the hammer for $4.66m. Mr Adcock is reporting 15 registered bidders at the auction and a crowd big enough to fill a cinema.
The six-bedroom renovated house is on an 810sq m block.
